Dear Colleagues,
I cordially invite you to the 7th Congress of ESSM in London to be held from December 5 - 8, 2004.
The Congress has two principle aims: First to present the most recent developments in the rapidly evolving field of male and female dysfunction, and second to provide a forum for active participation of young scientists of this Congress.
The main topics of the 7th ESSM Congress, which will be presented by leading authorities in the field, concentrate on prevention and epidemiology of erectile dysfunction, new pharmacological therapies, ejaculatory disorders, gender dysphoria, penile carcinoma, the basic science of sexuality, female sexual dysfunctions, Peyronie's disease, sexuality in ageing couples, surgery for erectile dysfunction and genital reconstruction.
All scientists, and especially younger and more junior scientists, are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. The Congress schedule will provide ample opportunities for informal personal exchanges of ideas, data and findings, which we hope will stimulate international collaborations.
London is one of the most exciting cities in the world, with a breathtaking range of social, dining and entertainment opportunities, and is the centre of a truly multi-cultural society. Like New York, it never sleeps! As well as its palaces and other historic buildings, it offers art galleries, museums, concert halls and theatres of international repute. Although the UK is not noted for its weather in December, it is the ideal place for a Christmas shopping expedition. The Congress hotel is in the heart of the city but only 20 minutes from Heathrow Airport by train. We know that London will provide a unique environment for this Congress.

During the annual Congress in Hamburg 2002 the European Society for Sexual and Impotence Research (ESSIR) decided to change the name of the society. The new name of the society will be from now on: European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM).
